The 30-year-old superstar has officially returned to the music scene with a bang after taking a break, with his track shooting to the top of The Official Big Top 40.
Ed stepped back from the spotlight to get married and welcome his daughter, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran to the world, but that didn't stop him bagging the first Number 1 of the 2021 with his track 'Afterglow'.
However, it is safe to say everyone is excited to have the musician back in our lives for good, and his latest, record-breaking Number 1 is proof of this!
Calvin Harris scored his tenth Number 1 last week with 'By Your Side', featuring Tom Grennan, and he is the artist with the second most amount of Number 1's behind Ed.
Previous Number 1 hits of Ed include I Don't Care (with Justin Bieber), Shape Of You, Galway Girl and Thinking Out Loud include many, many more.
Ed, it's good to have you back!
