Marshmello's Identity Finally Revealed... As Shawn Mendes?!

Its the biggest, most closely-guarded secret in music - who is Marshmello?
There have been many rumours over the years about who might be hiding under the helmet, including Skrillex and DJ Snake.
But, now, the true identity of Marshmello has been revealed and... wait, it's Shawn Mendes?!

Marshmello came on stage at the 2018 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards on Sunday night to accept an award for his Anne-Marie collaboration, 'Friends'.
What the crowd weren't expecting was for the mysterious DJ to take off his helmet and Shawn Mendes to reveal himself!

Sadly, the whole thing was a good ol' prank but that's not stopped Marshmello joking further on Instagram that him and Shawn are now a duo.
Shawn has been in the studio with Zedd recently so perhaps another dance collaboration with Marshmello could be on the cards?
